DVB, Digital Video Broadcasting abbreviation, is a series of international recognized open standards for digital TV maintained by the DVB project!
DVB transmission system types: Satellite (DVB-S and DVB-S2); Cable (DVB-C); terrestrial radio (DVB-T); terrestrial wireless handheld (DVB-H). The main difference is that the transmission modulation scheme used, since they have different applications of different frequency bandwidth requirements. Using a high frequency carrier DVB-S QPSK modulation mode, low frequency carrier DVB-C using QAM-64 modulation, and the use of VHF and UHF carrier DVB-T COFDM modulation scheme to use!
